Community Impact & Advocacy
Bettering your community and
your world
PMGenie
Project Management Guides (PMGs) are used by JCI USA chapters to plan and implement projects, events, and collaborative processes. Once created, it will be approved by the chapter board and members to appropriate funds. The PMGenie is an online tool that will set your PMG process up for success, from establishing the project’s goals all the way to evaluation and reflection.
New! Advocacy Task Force
JCI USA is excited to be piloting an Advocacy program in 2026, providing tools and resources for members to become more civically engaged and take action on local and national issues. Joining the Advocacy Taskforce, supporting a local initiative, or championing an issue you care about can deepen your impact and your leadership journey. Advocacy isn’t about being loud — it’s about being intentional. And when young leaders choose to advocate, communities are stronger for it.
We are looking forward to hosting training and workshops throughout the year that inspire members to speak up and get involved. You can find dates and registration info on the JCI USA Training Calendar. If you’d like to catch up on previous training sessions, recordings are posted here in the Young Leader Lab.
This year, we have launched a new partnership with Vote Forward, a nonprofit dedicated to increasing voter turnout & strengthening democracy through letter writing campaigns.
Every election cycle, millions of newly registered young voters intend to cast their first ballot. A large number never do, because the process is more confusing than it should be. JCI USA members are invited to participate by sending New Voter Guides, which combine a handwritten personal message with the practical tools first-time voters actually need: how to vote, when to vote, what to bring.
You can find dates and registration info on the JCI USA Training Calendar. If you’d like to catch up on previous training sessions, recordings are posted here in the Young Leader Lab. For more info on how to get started, check out our blog post with all the details!
UN Sustainable Development Goals
Across the country, local chapters of JCI USA are taking on community impact projects that cover a wide variety of issue areas – including those featured in the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Chapters are encouraged to conduct community needs assessments to deepen relationships and build projects around the root causes of issues where Jaycees can have the greatest impact.
