Community Easter Egg Hunt

The Community Easter Egg Hunt directly reflects the JCI mission of providing development opportunities for young people to create positive change. While the event brings joy to hundreds of children and families, it also serves as a leadership development opportunity for Jaycee members. Members gain experience in project planning, budgeting, volunteer coordination, marketing, community partnerships, delegation, and event management while working together to deliver a successful community event.

The project also encourages newer members to step into leadership roles by serving on committees and taking ownership of key responsibilities with the support of experienced members. Through this mentorship model, members build confidence, strengthen their leadership skills, and develop a greater commitment to community service.

The positive change extends beyond the membership experience. By identifying a need that previously existed in Miles City and creating a free annual Easter tradition, the chapter has strengthened community partnerships, provided an inclusive event for local families, and demonstrated the impact that young civic leaders can have when they work together. The Community Easter Egg Hunt is more than an event—it is an opportunity for members to grow as leaders while making a lasting, positive difference in their community.
