The Spencer NC Jaycees Annual Easter Egg Hunt aligns closely with the Jaycee Mission Statement by providing young people with meaningful opportunities to lead, organize, and serve their community while creating a positive and lasting impact. Through planning and hosting this free, interactive event, members developed leadership, communication, teamwork, and project management skills while promoting community engagement and family connection.
The event specifically benefited a community with a higher median age and lower average income by offering an accessible, family-friendly activity at no cost to participants. By creating a welcoming environment for children and families, the project helped strengthen community spirit, encourage volunteerism, and provide positive experiences for local residents who may have limited access to free recreational events.
